The project became the first one of a kind in Ukraine. As a result, the project implementation had a considerable demonstrative influence in Ukraine in general. In the framework of the project, the integral estimate methodology of CDQ (Coke Dry Quenching) influences on the GHG emission reductions with calculations of the coke quality effect on СО2 emissions was developed.
The project envisaged the high-quality blast furnace coke production by the dry quenching method and utilization of waste steel gases for electricity generation.
