3. Replacement of rolling stock of existing patrol cars in MIA by hybrid cars of "Prius-Toyota" brand (in the framework of Kyoto Protocol, GIS)

Project summary:
The project aims to provide technical re-equipment of MIA of Ukraine fleet on the basis of most modern cars of hybrid type of "Prius-Toyota" brand.
According to the project, automobiles of “UAZ” and “VAZ” brands were replaced by automobile of “Prius-Toyota” brand. Application of "Prius-Toyota" automobiles reduced fuel consumption, as well as emissions of pollutants into the atmosphere, including greenhouse gases.
August 31, 2012 Sumitomo Corporation has signed an agreement with DERZHEKOINVEST under the project "Replacement of rolling stock of existing patrol cars in MIA by hybrid cars of "Prius-Toyota" brand". The main point of the agreement is that under the green investment scheme in 2013 (15) Ukraine received 1220 cars specially equipped with "Hybrid Synergy Drive" gasoline-electric engine of the famous Japanese brand "Prius-Toyota".
